Proclaiming The Risen Christ In Rural Zambia

To reach rural Zambia, and beyond, with the life transforming gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ...

Rural Outreach Ministries

The Rural Outreach Ministries (ROM) was founded by Evangelist Ken Banda on 6th April, 1995 as a response to the great commission (Matthew 28:18-20). This non-denominational ministry has a bias towards reaching rural Zambia, and beyond, with the life changing Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Then they went forth, and preached everywhere. The Lord working with them, confirming the word with signs following.
Mark 16:20 KJV

Where is Rural Outreach Ministry now?

Mission Chapel

Our Core

Our Vision

To see rural Zambia saved through the proclamation of the gospel of salvation.

Our Mission

To reach rural Zambia, and beyond, with the life transforming gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ...

Our Motto

Proclaiming The Risen Christ In Rural Zambia.

Our Core Values

01

Faith and Word-Centered

Christ is central to all we do. We rely on God’s guidance and uphold the integrity of God’s word through adherence to biblical standards in all character and conduct.

02

Integrity

We are committed to the highest levels of accountability and stewardship. We treat every resource, financial, human, or natural, as a sacred trust from our donors and the communities we serve.

03

Compassion

We serve with dignity and love, believing every individual deserves to be treated with Christ-like empathy and respect regardless of socio-economic status.

04

Excellence

We maintain high standards in ministry delivery, striving for a standard that reflects the glory of God in every chapel built, every broadcast made, and every life served.

05

Empowerment

We focus on building self-reliance, equipping rural residents with the spiritual and economic tools to transform their own lives.

06

Partnership

We believe in collaboration for greater impact, actively seeking to work with traditional leadership, Government bodies, and corporate partners.

Mobilization Model

The Three Armies: Our Human Capital and Mobilization Strategy

The execution of the 7 Thunders is powered by a unique mobilization model known as The Three Armies. We recognize that sustainable transformation in the "Dark Zones" cannot be achieved by staff alone; it requires a coordinated movement of intercessors, field workers, and resource partners. Every member of the ROM family finds their place within one or more of these strategic units.

01

The Praying Army

The Intercessors "The Spiritual Engine"

The Praying Army forms the spiritual foundation of all our operations. Before a single borehole is sunk or a crusade is launched, this army paves the way through strategic intercession.

Mandate

To provide continuous spiritual covering for the 7 Thunders, the leadership, and the communities we serve.

Key Activity

  • Weekly synchronized prayer chains
  • "Dark Zone" spiritual mapping to break strongholds and prepare the ground for the Gospel
02

The Going Army

The Volunteers & Missionaries "The Hands and Feet"

The Going Army consists of our frontline volunteers, pastors, and technical teams who physically deploy to the remote chiefdoms during outreach and missions trips. They are the primary agents of field implementation.

Mandate

To execute the 7 Thunders on the ground from preaching at crusades to teaching in our community schools and conducting medical missions.

Key Activity

  • Rural outreach and church planting (ROM Chapels)
  • Delivery of humanitarian aid through Showers of Blessings
03

The Sending Army

The Partners and Donors "The Logistics & Resource Engine"

The Sending Army comprises individuals, corporate partners, and international donors who provide the financial and material fuel for the mission. They ensure the Going Army is equipped and the Praying Army’s vision is resourced.

Mandate

To provide the financial capital, technology, equipment, and other materials necessary for large-scale impact.

Key Activity

  • Regular financial contributions (monthly or one-time giving)
  • Provision of mission-critical assets (vehicles, sound systems) and professional expertise

ROM’s strength lies in the synergy of these three groups. The Sending Army equips the Going Army, while the Praying Army sustains them both. This trifecta ensures that ROM remains a grassroots movement with professional excellence and spiritual power.
